BLOSSOM OF LIFE FOUNDATION is working for the betterment and development of India through promoting continuous development of rural children, women, youths and other urban poor. Conduct Research, surveys, entrepreneurship program. Work to organize education program. Conduct awareness program effectively against problem regarding health and sanitation, environment safety, abolition of child labor, slum area, activities regarding livelihood. Promoting large scale sustainable livelihood and small scale industries. Working for child and women welfare, rural development. Provide preservation and promotion of Artistic handicraft and cultural resources.
We integrate various development initiatives to develop sustainable and self-reliant communities. With a sharp focus on education, health, employment generation and caring for the environment, we have a team of enthusiasts who work with us to design and implement our projects. We believe that for a disadvantaged community to survive, develop and prosper, providing basic needs of education, health and employment are the key criteria.
The organization receives intellectual inputs from its members and advisers who are qualified professionals belonging to diverse fields. Besides, there are other professionals and volunteers who ensure its smooth functioning.
BACKGROUND:
A Group of social workers had been working in remote areas of New Delhi. A deep sense of gratitude towards the society of the young and dedicated workers of the group to join in the different activities of the society. We borrow everything from the society for our daily living and our motto was to pay back something to the society, for up liftment of the people. The basic programs were the generation of general awareness with a scientific outlook and also providing facilities to uphold their living standards, the situation prompted them for the formation of a formal group. The group was the registered under the society’s registration Act. Primarily to have recognition to undertake development activities in the region in a systematic manner.
MISSION:
To work towards our vision, our mission statement as follows: BLOSSOM OF LIFE FOUNDATION enable local groups to generate innovative ways to improve their livelihoods and enhance socio-economic conditions through inter-disciplinary research capacity building and participatory approaches for nurturing inter personal dialogue among people of varying local and socio cultures, languages and knowledge systems.
OBJECTIVE:
- To provide and arrange welfare, entertainment, sports and other programs.
- To create a sense of brotherhood, co-operation, mutual harmony, love and affection amongst the members along with member’s family.
- To provide all kind of help in establishing new shops and arrange, facilitate member of the society in day to day common activity.
- To promote unity in the member of the society and other common people.
- To arrange and organize eye and blood donation camp.
- To do other such act deeds and things for the progress and development of the aims of the society by passing the resolution at the meeting of the governing body.
- To raise funds through grants, aid, donation etc.
- Arranging of talks, film shows, and demonstration etc by expert.
- To establish and develop institution for the physically handicapped and disabled or mentally retarded persons and to provided them education food, clothing or other help.
STRATEGIES:
To fulfill the above objectives our strategy is to motivate the people and leading them to improve their general standard or living conditions. If the local people are motivated and proper technology education are imparted to them and also tailored to address to the need of the people, well being of masses can be brought about. Then we can reach near to our goal, our dream society can be built.
ACTIVITIES:
The motto of this institution was to impart-scientific education to the rural/urban and improving their general standard of living condition. We all know that education, training and cultural awareness etc are the backbone for the development of community. The activities of this year organized by organization given as below:-
- 1. Vocational Training Camp
Through this project, students and youth are empowered to earn a respectable livelihood. The importance of computer in the era of globalization cannot be ignored and without the knowledge of English, learning computer is almost impossible. This project imparts skills in computers with spoken English apart from art, craft and dance.
- 2. Culture program
BLOSSOM OF LIFE FOUNDATION hosted a culture program this year which had as its objective the encouragement of youth artists who have dedicated their lives to the practice of classical dance, drama etc. There is also a debate organized by staff on the topic “How we can protect our culture”
- 3. Health and Family welfare program
We organized an awareness meeting with the women on health and basic immunization. Over 70 women attained the meeting. The camp started with President gave a brief about the working area and projects. After that he addressed the importance of health and hygiene to keep the diseases away from their home and community. She also made them aware about the importance of basic immunization for their children. We got a very good response from the women and they promised that they will work according to the instruction given by BLOSSOM OF LIFE FOUNDATION and work with group in future. The meeting was over with refreshment to all.
- 4. Alcoholism and Drug abuse program
BLOSSOM OF LIFE FOUNDATION children along with the staff joined in the rally against “Alcoholism Drug Abuse program”. The rally started with a slogan “Think Health, No Drugs.” All the participants from different NGOs, bikers, skaters and NCC & scouts were reported.
- 5. Exhibition program
BLOSSOM OF LIFE FOUNDATION organized an Exhibition program in this year with organization staff and members to make the program successful. There are many Youths/Women/Men participate in this exhibition program.
- 6. Educational Program
By the financial support from the community and members and active guidance of dedicated support workers BLOSSOM OF LIFE FOUNDATION organized Education Program in the urban slums of New Delhi. Taking into consideration that children are the future of the family society and country. The Foundation became proactive for this cause. The basic aim of the Foundation was that program should be based upon public participation. It was realized that for the sustainability of any program local participation if must. It was felt that the first outcome of the capacity building was the physical mobility of the women .So in these direction two women teachers went to the other slums to look after the centers.
- 7. Gender Educational and Awareness program
With an aim to spread awareness about the HIV/AIDS, BLOSSOM OF LIFE FOUNDATION observed the World AIDS Day. Volunteers from Symbiosis Law School actively participated with organization staff and members to make the program successful. Red ribbons, which are considered as symbols of the contagion were distributed.
